Nov 29, 2010 - I think the idea behind Ng8 (11:55) is to be able to play Nxc4 but its too slow to cope with all the treats

Nov 29, 2010 - 7:05 depth 2 lol xD, my rybka 4 gets depth 12 in like 5 seconds.

Robinpostal2 Says:

Nov 29, 2010 - I were right on all the moves you asked about! :O

rwtig Says:

Nov 29, 2010 - At 10:50, why not play Bxf7. The knight must take and you are then checkmating the black queen like you mentioned before (although this time it comes at the expense of your bishop).

Nov 29, 2010 - Kingscrusher, if you are using Rybka 2.3 32.bit you are not getting the best moves. I can send you Deep Rybka 4 32.bit free. I purchased a lot of them, for my students and I ended up with a lot leftover. They are the actual UCI engines without the extra stuff, so they are actually a lot cheaper. You can install them, on any chessbase software. Just let me know. email is ernestm57@gmail.com or just respond to this comment or send me a message via Youtube, Thanks for uploading and good luck.

Nov 29, 2010 - at 11:30 isn't bxf7 strong as well?

Nov 30, 2010 - KingsC, gotta tell you I'm really impressed with your adventurousness in a rated tourney! Many strive for a slow positional advantage within well-practiced openings, hoping that it will lead to an eventual tactic; but you seem to force your opponents into unfamiliar waters where, in an open game, a conservative player would feel great discomfort! I absolutely recognize the psychological advantage this can provide and feel that it's often more than adequate compensation. Keep em guessing. Cheers!

Sorcerer88 Says:

Nov 30, 2010 - yup, black has to play Kf8 then (Kd8 loses the queen as well) and white gets wins 2 pawns, plus his king is in the open. would have been strong.

ComtedeMonteC Says:

Dec 1, 2010 - At 13.11, "... in this position there are loads of winning moves... my move Qe5 does it even make the top 5". I left my Fritz program running for several minutes on this position and KC's move Qe5 was 3rd behind Bxf7 and Nb6.. KC's move is very good and machine evaluations of positions should be taken circumspectly..

Jan 25, 2011 - White should play 3.dxc5....
