Great vid, i too would like any sheets you have on making them. I have quite a lot of dry bog oak and blackwood and I'm contemplating whether to get holly or boxwood for the other set. I suppose any contrasting woods would look well.

Feb 13, 2012 - First set up blank held by screw chuck with tailstock centre supporting right hand end of piece. When main shaped turning is done release the talstock centre to allow to shape the end. The screw on left hand end should be able to support the chess piece.See photo at .058 showing piece only supported by the screw.
